GRAMMYS 2013: The Singing Stars Come Out to Play

The 2013 Grammy awards was filled with solid musical performances and long awaited returns from British folk band Mumford & Sons, Adele (although she did not perform) and Justin Timberlake, whose first singing TV performance in six years had the auditorium up on their feet swaying to the sexy soulful beat.

Justin's absence in the music industry has been heavily felt by most. On Grammy night he showcased his effortless vocal range and dancing ability proving exactly why. A performance Fl@unt had been waiting for for so long and we are so glad the moment finally came.

Mumford & Sons were amazingly uplifting in their lively acoustic performance as always - a band with such raw talent that comes together in the perfect way. Rihanna gave a highly emotional performance of her new single 'Stay' ft. Mikey Ekko who Fl@unt would be interested to hear more of this year.

Alicia Keys sang 'Girl On Fire' with Maroon 5 showing that the merging of two different musical styles continues to elevate the Grammy award performances from other award shows. Her voice was so powerful against with Adam Levine's distinct tone.

Fl@unt's favourite performance of the night has to be the Bob Marley tribute which began with Bruno Mars performing his hit single, the reggae influenced 'Locked Out of Heaven' joined by the legend that is Sting whose voice raised the song to an epic level. Rihanna joined the pair of course, as a West Indian artist who has grown up on the sounds of reggae.

Then the party truly started as the Marley brothers entered the stage and raised the roof as they sang in honour of their father.

All in all a great night for music.
