Chicago native Jesse Williams plays Dr Jackson Avery on long-running TV success Grey's Anatomy. Jesse entered the surgeon drama back in 2009 and has become a firm favourite, overtaking the looks of every doctor on the show - by a mile.
Those piercing eyes, striking face and athletic body have earned Jesse more than a few modelling jobs most prominently appearing in Rihanna's Russian Roulette music video.
Jesse's mother is Swedish and his father is African-American. His mixed heritage has influenced his educational and professional decisions, having studied African American Studies along with Film and Media, before going on to teach such subjects.
