So happy for Chiwetel. The extremely talented British actor finally won the prestigious Bafta award on Sunday night for Best Actor in 12 Years A Slave and all I can say is very well deserved. Chiwetel brings to life the memory of Solomon Northup in the most effecting way.
Here's hoping he wins the Oscar on March 2nd. It was also great to see Barkhad Abdi win the Bafta for Best Actor in A Supporting Role for his performance as a pirate playing opposite Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips. He was convincingly threatening in the film and it was nice to see the spotlight shine on him on the night.
