This English talent has been one to watch for a while now,
and thanks to her unique creativity, Twigs has finally
broken through to the wide world of music. Twigs fully absorbs her surroundings while being completely in tune with
her own visual/sound perspective and that is how she creates her music.
This makes Twigs everything - a creative beast. She is a
singer, producer, songwriter and contemporary dancer. Born as Tahlia Barnett, the
26-year-old moved to London from Gloucestershire at 18, in search for opportunities as a
dancer. She danced for Jessie J, Kylie Minogue and Ed Sheeran before making her own music to which she could move to.
Twigs released her first LP this summer and she has gained
quite a following. Her sound stands firmly outside the box of modern music with
influences of hip hop, soul and minimal techno. For her differences alone
she already stands out and will explode in the new year.
