This year the Venice Film Festival began on the 28th August and ended on the 7th September. An array of glamorous gowns took to the spotlight as the actresses glided down the red carpet in the exquisite city. Fl@unt notes the looks that stood out from the festival:
SCARLETT JOHANSSON in Versace
There were some entrancing dresses that were presented at this year's film festival in Venice - that is until Scarlett stepped onto the red carpet - and stopped the show. She looks positively stunning in the most elegant, old school glamorous way.
The look is simple old Hollywood, which Scarlett carries off best, with detailing only in the sleeves and ruching off the dress. Scarlett looks ravishing here, showing off her figure without too much fuss. A pure fashion moment.
DAKOTA FANNING in Elie Saab Couture
Breathtaking look from Dakota here in this wondrous indigo dress that floats around like a dream. Just the right amount of sparkle added to highlight the youthfulness of the young actress with extended dips by the arms also, showing a more revealing side to Dakota than we're used to.
MORAN ATIAS in Dolce & Gabbana / DAKOTA FANNING in Alexander McQueen
Israeli actress Moran looked edgy in this dark look by D&G with raised hemline, while Dakota looked fresh and flirty in this pale piece by McQueen.
The Canadian actress opted for two strikingly diverse looks at the film festival, wearing a deep seal brown dress for one occasion with dark lips to match and then light and fairy-like for the red carpet in a nude corset with a puffball skirt.
I like the bold risk-taking with the first look which is what high fashion is about and the way the second dress fits the actress is gorgeous.
