Fashion of Golden Globes 2012

There were some great red carpet looks at the award show Sunday night, showing a range of formal styles as opposed to one main trend.

However, as always, there were some frock frights at this year's Golden Globes, which Fl@unt will try and wipe out from its memory. Instead, we shall reflect on the fashion successes of the night. Take a look...

NICOLE KIDMAN, VERSACE: One of the top two best looks of the night, Nicole looks stunning in this floor-length, gold-studded, structured gown showing off her slim figure. Edgy elegance.
JESSICA CHASTAIN, GIVENCHY: Alongside Nicole, Jessica steals the show with this beautiful bridal creation. The bubbly texture of this dress gives it a fresh, exciting look and the high neck adds some chic.

EMMA STONE, LANVIN: Drawing attention to her dark(er) side, Emma looks smoking in this vixen gown with slit reveals.
TILDA SWINTON, HAIDER ACKERMANN: Always in an element of her own, Tilda looks ice cool, playing with her typical androgynous wearing a structued blazer over a flowing dress. The embellished cuffs add even more edge to this look.

VIOLA DAVIS, EMILIO PUCCI: A surprisingly sexy look for Ms davis in this daring slit showing she can compete on the red carpet with the rest of them. The deep red colour is perfect for her skin tone, she looks absolutely gorgeous.
ANGELINA JOLIE, ATELIER VERSACE: It's always a pleasure to see Ange out of the colour black. It's taken a while for this look to grow on me but its I like it. It's simple yet different, standing out from the rest - just like Ms Jolie always does.

GOLDEN GLOBES AFTERPARTY!

Here's Fl@unt's favourite look that didn't make it to the show but the after party instead:

MARIA MENUOUS, BLUMARINE: A look Fl@unt hasn't seen on the red carpet before, Maria looks stunning in this bold, tangerine, figure-hugging gown appropriate for party time.
