Britney Joins X Factor!

After months of rumours flying round it is now official: Britney Spears will be on the judging panel for this year's US X Factor.

I had hoped that the rumours weren't true as I don't think Britney needs this gig to aid her already almighty music career, unlike other artists who have become talent show judges such as Jennifer Lopez on American Idol  - who before taking the role in 2011, had experienced an unlucky year previous being dropped from her music label. 

There's no doubt that becoming a TV show personality has more than helped bring JLo back in the music spotlight - I just don't think Bitney needs this job having just completed a world tour last year.

Having said this, it will be interesting to see what Britney's personality is like through the audition process and she will definitely bring the superstar power that was missing from the show last year. 

Britney has been at the top of her game in the music industry for over ten years so she is more than qualified to give professional advice in terms of what it takes to sustain a successful career as a music star.
