MET Gala 2012: Fl@unt's Fashion Round-Up

Fl@unt reviews the fashions of this year's MET Gala, held annually in celebration of the fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.

Let's see who truly committed to the dramatic high fashion dress code in the best and worst ways...

TOP FASHION MOMENTS OF THE NIGHT:

~ Best Dressed: Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe ~
Looking absolutely flawless in this glittering gown - the turban adds edge, a hard accessory to pull off but Karolina's model face is dynamic enough to make it work.
              ~Kate Bosworth in Prada~                ~Solange Knowles in Rachel Roy~
Feather Plum - Kate opts for a darker yet flirty look at the event, Gothika indeed.
Lemon Sorbet - Solange looks fresh and juicy in this succulent yellow.

                 ~Florence Welch in Alexander McQueen~              ~Rihanna in Tom Ford~
Bountiful Fairy - Florence commands attention (and carpet space) in this beautifully showy fashion piece.
Second Skin - Coated in crocodile scales, Rihanna adds her own dramatic in a different, slicker way.

~Mia Wasikowska in Prada~  ~Carey Mulligan in Prada~ ~January Jones in Atelier Versace~

Black Bow Peep - Mia combines delicate feminine styling with masculine colour and cut; a simple yet strong look.
Disco Ball - Starting the party early, Carey sparkles and shines in this fun frock.
Fresh Fruit - January fl@unts her best in this bright, sexy hard-edged gown.

FASHION FAILS

 ~Kristen Stewart in Balanciaga~               ~Beyonce in Givenchy Couture~
Uncomfortable Clash - Kristen looks as awkward as Fl@unt feels about this look: disaster from head to toe.
Seen Enough - Clearly Beyonce wanted everyone's attention in this dress, she can't hide in this and she should, as it's not her best fashion choice.

       ~Elizabeth banks in Mary Katrantzou~        ~Eva Mendes in Prada~
Printing Fault - Elizabeth is not versatile enough to try and make this look work. She's trying too hard.
Orange Mishape - The fitting of the dress does not flatter Eva's figure, the overall design seems lost.
